The couple’s entrance into the reception, backed by a full production moment. Lighting, effects, and the right music drop timed to bring every guest to their feet the moment the doors open.

Halay & Dance Floor
Halay
The halay is where the whole room becomes one. A line, a locked grip, a driving beat, and everyone moving together. We cue the live davul at exactly the right moment and keep the floor alive until the end of the night.

Turkish gold pinning ceremony

Altın Takma

The gold-pinning ceremony is one of the most visually striking moments in a Turkish wedding. Family members and guests come forward one by one to pin gold coins and jewelry onto the bride and groom’s sashes, each piece a public wish for the couple’s prosperity.

We support this beautiful custom with a tailored soundtrack performed by live musicians, clear MC announcements to honor each family’s contribution, and dynamic lighting that adds warmth and elegance. Our production team carefully times the entire ceremony so it builds naturally toward the energetic halay that follows.

The Sashes
Red sashes are tied around the bride and groom, serving as the surface for all pinned gifts
Kuşak
The Gold Coins
Guests pin gold lira coins as a tangible blessing for the couple’s financial future together
Altın
Family Procession
Families are called forward in order, each group pinning their gifts while music plays beneath them
Aile sırası
Live Music
A live musician or DJ scores the entire pinning ceremony, setting the emotional register of the room
Canlı müzik
Into the Halay
The takı ceremony flows directly into the halay, carrying the energy onto the dance floor

Turkish weddings FAQ

Everything couples ask us before booking Royaal for a Turkish wedding. Don’t see your question here? Reach out and we’ll answer it directly.

Ask Us Anything
Do you provide a bilingual MC for Turkish and English speaking guests?

Yes. Our MCs run the night in both languages, so every family member and guest stays on the same page from the kına gecesi through the last dance.

Can you bring live davul and zurna players to the wedding?

Yes. Live davul and zurna are available for the procession, the halay, or both, and they coordinate directly with your DJ so the transitions stay seamless.

Can you build a mixed Turkish and American set for a multicultural wedding?

Yes. Many of the weddings we produce blend Turkish tradition with an American guest list. We build one set list that moves naturally between both.

Do you carry backup equipment and a backup DJ?

Every booking includes backup sound and lighting gear, and we maintain a network of trusted DJs in case of an emergency.

Can musicians perform during the altın takma, or gold-pinning ceremony?

A live musician or DJ scores the entire pinning ceremony, and we time the transition so it carries straight into the halay.

How far in advance should we book Royaal for a Turkish wedding?

We recommend booking six to twelve months ahead, especially for peak wedding season, though we can accommodate shorter timelines when our calendar allows.
