One cohesive design across the entire room.

The sweetheart or head table platform is the visual centerpiece, setting the tone for every image taken that night. The DJ and musician stage is the production hub, built to hold equipment, conceal cabling, look polished in every photo, and integrate cleanly with the lighting rig overhead. We design both with equal attention to detail.

We build both from scratch for your specific venue, coordinate directly with your florist, decorator, and lighting team, and remove everything after the event without leaving a mark on the floor. One crew. One design language. Zero vendor coordination headaches.

A custom-faced DJ booth built into the stage structure with matching surface materials and consistent finish details. Available in acrylic, fabric wrap, floral panel, or branded printed finishes.
Standard
Sweetheart or Head Table Riser
An elevated platform for the sweetheart table or head table that keeps the couple visible from every seat in the room and gives photographers a clean sightline throughout dinner and toasts.
Standard
Backdrop Design & Installation
A full rear-wall backdrop behind the couple’s platform, available in fabric drape, geometric pipe-and-drape frames, floral wall structures, or printed panels. Designed in collaboration with your florist and installed before florals are placed.

Soft pipe-and-drape framework flanking the DJ stage and the couple’s platform to frame focal points, conceal backstage equipment, and create clean visual edges throughout the room.
Standard

All audio, lighting, and power cabling routed beneath the DJ stage deck or through concealed conduit integrated into the platform structure.
Standard
Stage Stairs & Safety Edge Trim
Finished stair access on one or both sides of both platforms. All exposed edges fitted with carpet trim or safety edging to eliminate trip hazards for guests, musicians, and the couple stepping on and off.

A scaled layout and visual reference of the stage build, including platform dimensions, backdrop treatment, DJ booth position, musician placement, and surface finishes. Shared with the venue and your team for approval before build day.

LED Stage Edge Lighting
Programmable LED strips integrated into the platform edges. Color-matched to your lighting palette and controlled from the same DMX console as the room lighting for seamless scene transitions.
Add-On
Truss & Overhead Rigging Framework
A freestanding truss structure above the DJ and musician stage, supporting moving heads, wash fixtures, and production lighting overhead. Designed in coordination with the lighting production team so every fixture is positioned for maximum impact.
Add-On
Floral & Greenery Structural Framework
Load-bearing structural framework built into the backdrop or DJ booth to support live floral and greenery installations from your floral designer.
Add-On
Acrylic or Lucite Panel Elements
Clear or frosted acrylic panels used as stage façade elements, backdrop panels, or DJ booth facing. Particularly effective when backlit by the production lighting rig.

Our Process

From floor plan to finished stage

01
Brief & site review

We review the venue floor plan, ceiling height, load-in access, and sight lines for both the couple’s platform and the DJ and musician stage. We align with your florist, photographer, lighting designer, and sound team so every build decision accounts for the full vendor picture.

02
Design & render

We design and render your stage build in advance, giving you a clear view of the full setup before production begins. Platform layout, backdrop design, booth placement, and lighting integration are shared for your review and approval.

03
Build & dress

Our crew arrives during the venue’s setup window. Both platform builds, backdrop rigging, DJ booth installation, cable routing, and surface finishing are completed and signed off before the florist begins decorating around the structure.

04
Strike & clearance

After the event, all builds are broken down and removed. The venue is returned to its original condition within 2-3 hours, the same night.

Six directions for every aesthetic

Minimal & Modern
Clean lines, neutral surfaces, deliberate negative space. Both stages share a restrained design language, letting lighting and florals take the lead while the structure stays out of the way.
White or black platform Acrylic elements Minimal draping
Lush & Floral

Soft fabric draping across the full rear wall, gathered side panels framing both stages, and platforms finished in carpet or velvet edging. Warm, intimate, and timelessly elegant regardless of venue style.

Stage design FAQ

Ask Us Anything
Do you build both the couple’s stage and the DJ stage in the same package?
Yes, that’s how we approach every project. The DJ and musician stage is the operational core of the room, and the sweetheart or head table platform is the visual centerpiece. When both are designed together with the same materials and design language, the room reads as a complete production.
How does the DJ stage work with the lighting production?
We coordinate directly with the lighting team before build day. The DJ stage platform is designed to support the lighting console and equipment positioning, while the truss overhead is spec’d in relation to the lighting rig so every fixture is in the right position. If you’re booking both stage design and lighting production through Royaal, the two teams work from the same floor plan and build timeline.
Can you accommodate a live band or multiple musicians on the DJ stage?
Yes. We design the platform footprint around your specific lineup. We account for the equipment footprint, the number of performers, instrument placement, and monitor positioning when laying out the build, and we include that in the scaled floor plan submitted before fabrication.
Can you build in a venue with a no-drill policy?
Yes. Every build we do is entirely freestanding, with no wall anchors, floor bolts, or drilling of any kind. We use weighted ballast bases and internal structural bracing on both platforms. We can provide load documentation and structural drawings to meet venue requirements in advance.
Do you work directly with our florist and décor team?
Always. We coordinate with your florist ahead of the event so backdrop structures, platform surfaces, and framework elements integrate seamlessly with their installation plan. The timeline is sequenced so we finish before they begin.
How long does the build take, and when does your crew arrive?
Build time for a dual-stage setup is typically 5-7 hours depending on platform scale and backdrop complexity. We coordinate arrival with the venue’s setup schedule and always allow buffer time for florist coordination.
