Russian Wedding Traditions
Korovai — Каравай
The korovai is an elaborately decorated wedding bread baked by family and close friends in the days before the ceremony. Tall, round, and adorned with dough figures of wheat stalks, birds, and rings, it is presented to the couple as a blessing for a long marriage and a full household. Royaal times this moment carefully within the reception, coordinates staging and lighting so the presentation feels significant, and works with your photographer to capture it properly.
